Communications Intern
The Iranian Americans for Liberty (IAL) are seeking a recent college graduate to serve in a 6 month internship program to assist our organization with all matters related to external communications. We are seeking a dynamic, self-starter to assist with external communications on social media, our community, members of the media and hill staff members.
The ideal candidate is well suited to work in a team environment and can perform these responsibilities with high proficiency:
- Using Social Media Software to schedule social media posts for the week and on an ad-hoc basis.
- Assist with planning and execution of e-blasts and monthly newsletter.
- Drafting statements and press releases.
- Interfacing with members of the media.
- Interfacing with staff members on the Hill when appropriate.
- Research paid advertising campaigns on social media.
*Preferred but not required: Proficiency in reading and writing Persian.
*This position is not available for remote or teleworking. In person attendance in the office is required.
Hours: 25 Hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9-2 work schedule

Policy Intern
The Iranian Americans for Liberty (IAL) are seeking a recent college graduate to serve in a 6 month internship program to assist our organization with all matters related to developing policy positions. We are seeking a dynamic, self-starter to assist with all matters related to policy issues.
The ideal candidate is well suited to work in a team environment and can perform these responsibilities with high proficiency:
- Interfacing via phone, email and in person with staff members of Congressional offices.
- Creating a weekly briefly to educate Congressional offices on the latest news regarding Iran.
- Drafting policy papers on key issues as outlined by IAL’s Executive Director
- Create legislative tracking document to track all legislation on foreign policy related to the Middle East.
- Coordinating with IAL chapters around the country for grassroots organizing.
*Preferred but not required: Proficiency in reading and writing Persian.
